Quartz-vinyl tile is simply to install. Technician could install from 60 up to 200 sq. m. for 8 business hours (it depends on the type of premise and different types of "obstacles"). Installation method does not provide sealing of joints (as for linoleum or ceramic granite); tiles are glued on the sub-base end-to-end. As there are no joints the floor from quartz-vinyl tile looks organic whole.
Quartz-vinyl tile keeps dimensions and perfect appearance during decades even under influence of heat and loads. It is not subject to shrinkage, deformation and extension, not afraid of water and all standard washing-up and technical liquids, oils.
Please note that not only design should play role during selection of quartz-vinyl tile but also class of premise by exploitation intensity (see table Quartz-vinyl durability classes (EN 685)). Having determined the class of premise it is possible to select suitable quartz-vinyl tile (the same durability class). A tile is subdivided into classes only on the basis of its width.
Install over smooth, dry screed coating (residual moisture no more than 3 %), free of oils and dust. If there are bumps, cracks, level difference, etc. it is necessary to eliminate these defects. The concrete floor must be grounded. Recommended temperature is 15-200С. At the beginning of installation it is necessary to mark start point through which lines go both in the longitudinal and in the broadside direction.
Tiles are glued on the sub-base end-to-end. It is better to use the following adhesives: UZIN-КЕ 2000S (dispersing adhesive for elastic coverings. It is multi-purposes and could be used as "wet" and contact. It is resistant to plasticizers), UZIN-КЕ 2428 (quick dispersing adhesive), THOMSIT UK 4000 (universal dispersing adhesive), THOMSIT K-188Е (dispersing adhesive, ecologically safety), TEKS (Acrylic adhesive), rubber-bitumen mastic. Its better to install tiles very close to each other but without squeezing and excessive compression. To fit the tile, it is pressed to the floor with heavy-weight press in 2 directions when installed.
